WHAT IS A NECK LIFT?
A neck lift is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the neck and chin area. It is an ideal treatment for patients who would like to address signs of aging, jowls, a double chin, or the appearance of a “turkey neck.” A neck lift also addresses loose neck skin and eliminates unsightly neck bands to enhance the contours of the neck. By removing bulk and tightening the neck, this procedure often results in a younger and slimmer appearance. Ideally, a neck lift should be done at the same time as a facelift to produce the maximum effects of facial rejuvenation. Many patients choose to combine this procedure with a facelift for comprehensive facial rejuvenation.

WHAT IS THE NECK LIFT PROCEDURE LIKE?
The neck lift procedure is usually performed on an outpatient basis. During the surgery, incisions are typically made around the ears and under the chin, where they will be well-concealed. Through these incisions, Dr. Eko removes excess fat and skin and tightens the neck muscles to produce an improved contour and appearance of the neck.
WHAT IS THE RECOVERY LIKE AFTER A NECK LIFT?
Following a neck lift, patients often experience temporary mild to moderate swelling and bruising. The initial recovery period takes about two weeks, during which time patients are encouraged to take as much time off of work and other activities as possible to ensure a smooth recovery. After this recovery period, it may still take a few weeks or months for the full results of the neck lift to become apparent.
ARE THE RESULTS FROM A NECK LIFT PERMANENT?
The results of a neck lift are incredibly long-lasting, but they cannot prevent signs of aging from developing in the future. Patients can achieve a significantly younger appearance that lasts for many years, but will still develop gradual changes in the neck due to the natural aging process.
