WHAT IS BOTOX?
Botox is an FDA-approved injectable treatment composed of the ingredient botulinum toxin. Botulinum toxin is a neuromodulator, meaning it blocks nerve signals to muscles. WHAT IS BOTOX TREATMENT LIKE?
The Botox treatment is performed using a topical anesthetic to minimize any discomfort from the injection process. Once the skin is numbed, Botox will be injected into and around the desired treatment areas. The exact number and location of these injections will depend on your unique treatment goals. This process takes less than 30 minutes.
After the treatment, you may notice some mild swelling or redness in the treatment areas, but there will be no downtime required. You will be able to resume work and other normal activities immediately.
RECOVERY AND RESULTS
There is little to no downtime following treatment. Mild redness or swelling at the injection sites usually resolves within a few hours.
Initial improvements often become noticeable within several days, with full results developing over the following one to two weeks. Results typically last several months before maintenance treatment is recommended.
