WHAT IS COOLSCULPTING®?
CoolSculpting® is an FDA-cleared procedure for contouring specific areas of the body, like the thighs, knees, banana roll, arms, abdomen, hips, back, or even under the chin. This non-invasive procedure eliminates stubborn fat deposits that are unresponsive to diet and exercise, all without the use of surgery or incisions of any kind. CoolSculpting® works by freezing and permanently killing fat cells, allowing the body to eliminate them naturally. As the fat cells are eliminated from the body, patients will notice a slimmer and more toned figure.
HOW MUCH DOES COOLSCULPTING® COST?
The cost of your CoolSculpting® treatment at Eko Plastic Surgery will vary depending on the treatment plan we develop for you. During your consultation, Dr. Eko will discuss your cosmetic goals and treatment needs in order to determine the treatment approach that is ideal for you. For this reason, we will not be able to provide you with the exact cost of your treatment until you had the chance to come in and discuss your treatment goals with Dr. Eko.
WHAT IS THE COOLSCULPTING® PROCEDURE LIKE?
CoolSculpting® treatment involves no incisions and requires no anesthesia. To begin the treatment, the CoolSculpting® applicator will be placed on the desired treatment area. It uses vacuum pressure to pull the skin and underlying fat into the vacuum cup, where it applies precise cooling energy to freeze fat cells without damaging the surrounding cells and tissue. You may feel some tugging, pinching or cooling sensations during the procedure, but most patients are able to read, relax, or even take a nap for the duration of the treatment. A single CoolSculpting® treatment takes approximately 30 minutes.
WHAT IS THE RECOVERY LIKE AFTER COOLSCULPTING®?
CoolSculpting® is non-surgical and non-invasive, so there is no downtime or recovery period necessary after treatment. Patients may experience minor redness, sensitivity or temporary numbness in the treatment area, but these effects typically fade within a few hours. Patients will be able to return to work and other normal activities (including exercise) immediately after their treatment.
WHEN WILL I NOTICE RESULTS FROM COOLSCULPTING®?
The results from CoolSculpting® will gradually become visible as the body naturally eliminates the treated fat cells. Most patients notice results within a month, but it may take up to three to four months for the full results of treatment to become visible. In most cases, patients will need multiple treatment sessions to achieve their optimal desired results. During your consultation, we will let you know how many treatments will be needed for optimal results.
ARE THE RESULTS FROM COOLSCULPTING® PERMANENT?
The treated fat cells die during the CoolSculpting® procedure, and the body eliminates them over the following months. These fat cells are permanently removed from the body and are no longer able to accumulate fat. Patients can enjoy long-lasting and even permanent results from CoolSculpting®. However, it is important to note that future weight gain can impact the results of your CoolSculpting® treatment.
